Shipping cargo and goods from China to Ukraine for business

Send the supplier's city and address in China, the delivery address and postcode in Ukraine, a goods description, invoice, weight and dimensions. A broker checks whether the cargo can be cleared and identifies missing information. If permits or a technical description are required, establish this before handing the shipment to the carrier, not after arrival. We do not arrange transport of goods without appropriate documents.

After the checks, we compare available delivery options by speed or price. A manager agrees the option with the customer, confirms pickup from the supplier and arranges the waybill. Transport takes place through an international express network; after arrival in Ukraine, the cargo undergoes the necessary customs procedures. DHL and FedEx clearance goes through the Kyiv hub, so the recipient does not need to be physically in Kyiv.

Door-to-door delivery combines collection at the sender's address with delivery to the agreed recipient address. A manager confirms the route conditions and address coverage before booking. The air waybill number, or AWB, allows you to track collection, transport, arrival and delivery. If the tracking status shows that documents are awaited, send us the AWB and the carrier's exact message so we can check the specific shipment.

The estimated delivery time is 5–7 days. This is a planning guide rather than a guaranteed arrival date: the actual time depends on the origin city, selected service, flights and customs formalities. Discuss your required arrival date before shipping and allow time to prepare documents. An incomplete invoice or a request to clarify the goods description may delay clearance even after international transport has finished.

Delivery costs depend on the tariff zone, actual or volumetric weight, number of pieces and service. A light but large box may be charged by its dimensions rather than its scale weight. Provide packed dimensions when comparing options. China is in tariff zone 5; the full rate table below comes from the site's current delivery calculator rather than a separate advertising price list. The final amount for your packaging and route is confirmed by a manager.

A transport estimate is not an estimate of all customs expenses. Delivery booking, the broker's service, duty and VAT are separate budget items. For an initial transport figure, use the calculator, choose import from China, select parcels/cargo and enter the weight. Send the addresses and dimensions for confirmation. Any additional services are agreed separately, so compare the scope of the quote rather than assuming every expense is included.

Business customs clearance costs from 5000 UAH and takes 1 day. Duty and VAT are calculated separately and are not included in the broker's service price. Clearance requires a complete document set; additional customs requests can extend the time. SEMERO operates under its own customs broker licence UACBR125000640 and checks the description, HS code and customs value before submitting the declaration.

The invoice price of the goods is not always the full amount relevant to customs valuation. We also check delivery costs and the supply terms so that expenses included in customs value are not overlooked. For example, goods cost 20 EUR and delivery costs 200 EUR: together that is 220 EUR, above 150 EUR. A low goods price therefore does not guarantee that no duty will arise. This example illustrates the risk; it does not establish a duty rate.

Companies and sole proprietors should not treat the 150 EUR threshold as an automatic exemption for every shipment. Conditions are determined for the individual cargo, based on documents, the customs procedure and recipient status. Send the invoice and transport cost before dispatch so a broker can explain possible payments. Uncleared cargo is stored for a maximum of 30 days and then returned at the sender's expense. This does not mean 30 days of free storage at the SEMERO warehouse: its first 3 days are free and storage is charged thereafter.

International express delivery uses DHL, FedEx and other carriers according to the route and cargo characteristics. SEMERO selects a solution for the customer and arranges the agreed services; we do not promise an identical service for every type of goods. Speed priorities, budget, pickup availability and cargo requirements are discussed before booking. The selected international carrier performs the transport.

Customs clearance can be entrusted to SEMERO or coordinated with your own broker. When comparing proposals, consider the entire route and the cost breakdown, not just a price per kilogram. Establish what delivery includes, who prepares the documents and who will respond to customs requests after arrival. Delivery and clearance remain separate services, whether you order one or both.

The invoice should clearly identify the goods, quantity, value and currency. A packing list connects the contents with the number of pieces, weight and packaging. The HS code, known in Ukraine as UKTZED, depends on the actual product characteristics, so components or equipment may require a technical description. A contract or documents for a free-of-charge supply establish the basis for import. We agree the document list for your cargo rather than promising that an invoice alone is always enough.

Send the supplier's documents to the broker before dispatch and check that product names, quantities, weights and amounts agree across them. If the shipment is already travelling, add the AWB, recipient details and any carrier message. Do not change the description simply to seek a lower clearance price: inaccuracies lead to additional questions.
